Please join us for two events this July.
Meet for the Gallery Crawl in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District
Gather at the Byham Theater entrance at 5:30pm on Friday, July 11th. We will begin the walking tour of the galleries at 5:45pm so don’t be late. The tour features art and entertainment in the Cultural District and is FREE. Bring a friend and an umbrella. See www.pgharts.org for more information.

Tour the Carnegie International and Attend Artist Lecture
· Meet at the front fountain entrance of the Carnegie Art Museum on July 15th at 3:00 to tour the Carnegie International exhibit. Plan to stay for the artist lecture from 6:30-7:30 pm featuring artist Ranjani Shettar. We will walk to LuLu's Noodles on South Craig Street for dinner between the tour and the lecture. BRING A FRIEND!!

Don't forget that the deadline to submit a proposal to be a presenter at either PAEA or NAEA's conference is July 15th. We would love to see a strong showing of Region One members at the conferences.

HELP US RECRUIT NEW MEMBERS |

We need your help recruiting new members. Do you know that there are approximately 3,000 art teachers in Pennsylvania and only HALF of them are PAEA members?
If you work with a colleague who is not a member:
--show them our newsletter and all the exciting things that are happening throughout the state
--show them the list of perks for being a member (go to the NAEA website to print out the list)
--bring them to the next region event to meet other members and their region representatives
--direct them to the NAEA/PAEA websites to learn more about both associations
As we have done in the past, if you are a current member and you recruit a new member, we will give you HALF OFF the cost of the next event you choose to attend.
