What are the needs and wants of the Middle Level Art Educator? Be in touch and let me know! Just a few reminders - Go to the PDE site and get your identification number for your Act 48 hours. This replaces using your Social Security number. You may also want to check with your district for a copy of Act 48 Professional Education Plan Guidelines-January 2007 from PDE. Act 48 information and updates are also at the PDE website.
- Let people know the good things that you are doing in your schools!
• Take some time and go to the Pennsylvania Department of Education site. There is great information there that can be used by arts educators. Check the Assessment Anchors, and don't forget to check your Act 48 hours while you are at the site!
• If you have, or are starting, an Art Club in your school, please read the Pennsylvania Art Club information in the Elementary Division news at this website.
• If you have written or read a powerful letter in support of art education, would you please send me a copy? We have members and educators facing some disturbing cuts to their programs and in many instances, letter writing is a way to communicate information to those making decisions about the arts. All information will be appreciated!
