YAM Recognition Day in Harrisburg

Each student, whose design was submitted, along with the art teacher will be invited to participate in a day of recognition at the state capitol in March as guests of the PAEA and Senator Robert Robbins of District 50. He will again be presenting a Resolution to the State Senate recognizing Youth Art Month and the importance of Art Education. The exact date will be forthcoming once the Legislature sets its calendar. All the flag designs will be on display in the Capitol building along with our YAM flag that will be unfurled. The flag designer and teacher will also be invited to participate in a national YAM program in Washingon, D.C. The more teachers involved in the flag project, the more students who will be involved and can be recognized!!! This project is a great PR and Advocacy tool for us art educators.
