Outstanding PAEA
Region Representative Award
 Avalyn Shank has taught at Wilmington Area Middle School in New Wilmington PA since 1992. Previously she taught art at East Lawrence Elementary School and Mohawk District Elementary School.
Alvayn is PAEA Region 5 Representative, and Co-editor of the PAEA State Newsletter. She won the PAEA Outstanding Middle School Art Educator of the Year award presented by New Castle Jr. Women’s Club in 2001.
She is active in her church’s social outreach groups, the New Castle City Rescue Mission, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society.
