Recently, Kelchner worked with WASD art teachers to supervise and support the Milken Family Foundation sponsored series of History of Williamsport Murals, a project that pairs older students with younger students to design and create a series of murals that now hang in the WASD District Service Center. She has also initiated and continued over several years the Just Art with Senior Citizens where senior citizens are bussed to Jackson Elementary School and participated in weekly art lessons with elementary students for a final combined exhibit.
