Outstanding Regional Representative to PAEA

Debra Theys has been PAEA Region 6 Representative for the past five years. She taught K-6 art and directed the chorus at Claysburg-Kimmel Elementary for 12 years before becoming a full-time mom.
In addition, she is a member of the Mount Aloysius Art Alliance, the Bedford County Arts Center, and Laurel Arts. She has juried several student art shows in Bedford County and visual arts sections of area farm shows. She is a certified group fitness instructor mural painter, teaches private art and music lessons and sings in a praise and worship group called “Heavens Noize.”
Deb is expecting her second child in December and regrets being unable to attend this year’s conference.
She is thankful to be able to remain active in PAEA and is grateful to other PAEA Board members for their encouragement, support, time, ideas and friendship.
