COMING TO A MUSEUM NEAR YOU . . .

SNEAK PREVIEW NIGHT FOR TEACHERS

Thursday, Nov. 5, 4-7 p.m.

The Erie Art Museum’s annual teacher event is sure to engage educators of all grades and disciplines. Scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 5 from 4-7 p.m. at the Erie Art Museum, 411 State Stree, activities include:

  • a discussion about artwork selected earlier this year by participating Art Museum Teacher Week educators for permanent display in the new galleries of the Erie Art Museum.
  • Educators will meet and learn from local artisans to be featured in the Museum’s upcoming Making It Better: Folk Art in Pennsylvania Today exhibit.
  • Members of Erie’s Nepalese community will discuss Hindu sculpture and perform Nepali song and dance.

Registration begins at 4 p.m. and the program runs from 4:30-7 p.m. Teachers are invited to stay for a light supper. Three hours of Act 48 credit will be awarded.

Event sponsor Erie Federal Credit Union will be giving away special gifts to those in attendance.
