January's PAEA Student Artist of the Month is Genesis Mendez!
Genesis attends Anne Frank Elementary School and was nominated by PAEA member Priscilla Hopkins.
Priscilla had this to say about Genesis:
Genesis is a hardworking artist with her own unique style and vision. She has a clear love of art and a commitment to create her very best artwork. She is also kind and respectful to teachers and classmates and can always be counted on to help out. It is such a pleasure to be Genesis's art teacher!
Genesis had this to share with other artists:
"My biggest influence on art is my uncle and other art Youtubers because they show me that I should always follow my passion and my dreams. Art education is important because you can discover all types of art and maybe you’ll end up falling in love with one type and you’ll want to make it your career. My advice that I would give to other artists is never give up, always follow your style!"
