October's PAEA Student Artist of the Month is
Carter Berardoni!
Carter attends Haverford Middle School and was nominated by PAEA member Janiene Kwoczak.
What Janiene has to say about Carter:
Carter has been a stand-out student since he entered Haverford Middle School last year. He loves to draw and looks for ways to share his passion with his peers. Carter is eager to help others and celebrates their artistic victories. Even though art class is one quarter each year at our middle school, he is active in the community all year long. He seeks out opportunities to further his expertise on his own or by pushing others to take creative risks in art club or in other classes. I know Carter will use his capacity for the visual arts to grow as an individual and advocate for others to use the arts as a way to express their experiences.
Carter had this to share about his biggest influence:
My biggest influence is the YouTuber, Vexx. I like the way he puts the first thing in his mind right onto the paper and it ends up looking awesome. I try to be like Vexx because I really like to do full-page doodles as he does. His artwork looks so clean and that is something I am working towards. When I watch him it helps me come up with ideas and develop my own style. I even got the same markers that he uses. It’s also very cool to watch him draw. It's satisfying to watch him color, and awesome to see the final products.
