Previous Board experience is not required. Serving on this committee is an excellent opportunity to become involved in PAEA leadership and contribute to the future of the organization.
Time Commitment
Application Deadline: November 1, 2026
Notification of Appointments: November 2026
Committee Work: November 2026 through March 2027
Monthly virtual meetings - 1.5 hours in length
Asynchronous collaboration between meetings, including research, discussion, and document review
Recommendations will be shared with the Board throughout the committee's work, with a final report presented during Summer 2027.

Help Shape the Future Identity of PAEA!
The Pennsylvania Art Education Association is seeking members to serve on the newly established Brand Identity Committee. This committee will play an important role in evaluating and strengthening how PAEA communicates with members and presents itself to the public.
As our organization continues to grow and implement its Strategic Plan, we are looking for 5-7 members with diverse perspectives and experiences who are interested in helping create a clear, consistent, and engaging organizational identity.
If you are passionate about communication, storytelling, organizational identity, graphic design, marketing, member engagement, or helping organizations communicate more effectively, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities
Committee members will collaborate to:
Evaluate PAEA's current visual identity, communications, and public presence.
Gather feedback from members and stakeholders regarding communication and branding.
Develop recommendations for organizational branding, communication standards, and messaging.
Create recommendations for communication templates, writing guidelines, and leadership communication practices.
Explore strategies that strengthen member engagement, recruitment, retention, and organizational visibility.
Develop recommendations for phased implementation of future branding and communication initiatives.

This committee will evaluate PAEA's current regional structure and develop recommendations that strengthen member engagement, leadership opportunities, and equitable access to programming across the Commonwealth.
As our organization continues implementing its Strategic Plan, we are seeking 5-7 members who are interested in helping ensure PAEA's regional model effectively serves today's educators while preparing for future growth.
If you are interested in organizational planning, member engagement, governance, leadership development, or ensuring strong regional representation throughout Pennsylvania, we encourage you to apply.

Review membership distribution, geographic data, travel accessibility, and participation trends.
Evaluate multiple regional alignment models and leadership structures.
Develop recommendations for regional boundaries and leadership models based on member needs and organizational sustainability.
Identify potential governance and bylaw considerations.
Develop recommendations for implementation and communication should changes be proposed.
