In celebration of the 250th birthday of our nation & our home, the Pennsylvania Art Education Association, in partnership with Pennsylvania Creative Industries & First Lady Lori Shapiro, invited K~12 students across the Commonwealth to submit original artwork that embody the theme:
“Many Communities: One Commonwealth”
This theme encouraged students to explore their voice & community, asking,
"What makes your hometown, neighborhood, or personal story meaningful?"
Youth were encouraged to reflect on family & personal identity, local landmarks or places, prominent figures in the community, or cultural traditions, history, or everyday life.
Thank you to all who contributed to this meaningful collaboration!
